Data center air management & fire-rated sealing

Every gap in a data center is costing you money.

Aerocontain designs and manufactures AeroDam™, a fire-rated foam gap filler engineered to improve airflow control in data centers. It seals openings that let conditioned air escape while helping facilities hold required fire-code compliance.

01

The build-out

AI computing is driving the largest data center construction cycle in history. By 2030, data centers are projected to draw 11 to 12% of US power. Every facility in that pipeline needs compliant air management from day one.

02

The compliance gap

Cable cutouts, rack gaps, and pathway penetrations cause two problems at once: cold-air bypass that degrades cooling, and unsealed fire barrier gaps in regulated plenums. Most products solve one.

03

The difference

Built from a specialty foam, every order is CNC cut to specification. No standard-sheet teardown. Fire-rated and clean, without outgassing into IT airstreams.

upto
80%

of conditioned air can bypass server equipment through unsealed openings and poorly managed airflow paths—with average losses near 60%. Your cooling plant works overtime to replace air that never reaches the racks.

Fire-rated air management, engineered for data centers.

AeroDam is a fire-rated foam insert for raised-floor cable cutouts, rack gaps, and cable pathway penetrations. It is the only air dam foam tested to FAR 25.853(a) vertical burn at 1,550°F, and it comes in two configurations, cut to order in any size or shape.

Compress. Recover. Seal.

High-resilient foam behaves differently from rigid grommets or die-cut tear-to-size grids. It conforms to whatever size gap or opening you need to fill.

Compress by hand

The foam is high resilient and compresses by hand, no special tooling required. No field trimming, no hardware.

Tool-free install

Recover around cables

With 59 to 66% resilience, it expands back to fill irregular bundle profiles that rigid products leave open.

Seal for years

Fatigue tested to 80,000 compression cycles with under 15% firmness loss. The day-one seal is the year-five seal.

Tested to an aircraft fire standard.

Every air dam foam claims UL-94 HBF, a horizontal burn test where gravity works against the flame. AeroDam also passes FAR 25.853(a): a 12-second vertical burn at 1,550°F where gravity feeds it. No competing product has taken that test.

The fire retardant is built into the polymer itself, not sprayed on. It holds at cut edges and after years of compression.

Nothing in it your plenum shouldn’t breathe.

Seal the gap.Keep the fire rating.

Most FR foams get their rating from halogenated chemicals that sit on hyperscaler and FM Global chemical restriction lists. AeroDam reaches its fire rating without any of them, and the CertiPUR-US certificate proves it.

CertiPUR-US certified No PBDEs / TDCPP / TCEP VOC < 0.5 ppm No ozone-depleting chemicals

Two configurations. Same foam, same cut-to-order fabrication.

Both are CNC cut to your required dimensions, custom cutout drawing, or tile layout. Any size or shape can be fabricated. AeroDam FR is also available in sheets, strips, or blocks.
